Today I am excited to share a very special Maryland mountain engagement session! Luke, Eleanor, and I were able to capture some seriously rad images on this mountaintop. I can’t wait to share this boho mountaintop engagement story!
Luke and Eleanor’s love story holds a very special place in my heart. I first met Eleanor in high school, and later met Luke while visiting Eleanor at Wheaton College!
In 2012, Luke and Eleanor met while both attending Wheaton College. Eleanor, a sophomore, had just transferred in one semester earlier while Luke, a junior, was crashing on a couch having just returned from studying abroad. Eleanor was as driven as always, battling her way through Organic Chemistry while art-major Luke was bumming around campus, not even enrolled in classes at the time.
After he mustered up the strength, Luke asked Eleanor on their first date. The couple went to Navy Pier for the 2013 Wheaton College President’s ball, their school’s annual formal dance. With mutual passions for music, beer and corgis, they hit it off and soon were insufferably inseparable.
After Eleanor graduated in 2015, Luke followed her back to her home state of Maryland where, after a year and a half of further dating, he decided to make it official when he asked Eleanor to marry him on December 23, 2016 outside of the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
I can’t wait until these two make things official and tie the knot at the 1840’s Ballroom next fall!
Here are some of my favorite frames from Luke and Eleanor’s Maryland mountain engagement session:
