Karen and Trevor first met in 2013 but are convinced their paths unknowingly crossed way before that; they worked right across the street from one another at 2 different jobs, attended the same university, and frequented the same bar for Friday night happy hour. They hit it off on their first date, which took place over the course of 8 hours, and then quickly became inseparable. Trevor proposed on the beach at sunset and it was absolutely magical. Their Maryland wedding took place at Woodlawn Manor, which they selected for its historic charm.
Karen was a bombshell in her Reagan BHLDN gown that she paired with a leather jacket. After their first look we created some portraits in the warm October air. It was 75 degrees for their end of October wedding! I made a bride and groom double exposure with Karen’s bridal bouquet, and I hope this kind of imagery becomes a 2018 wedding trend! They said their vows underneath a tree, goodness I love outdoor ceremonies. The evening was filled with dinner, donuts, drinks, and dancing to a rad playlist. All of Karen and Trevor’s favorite people were together in one place, making the night one of a kind. We ended the evening with my awesome assistant, Sarah, running back and forth with a smoke bomb to create some epic images. Karen and Trevor are sweet souls and it was an honor to capture their wedding story! Here are some of my favorite frames from their relaxed Maryland outdoor wedding!
