Annapolis Wedding Photographer | Taylor and Ryland | Timberlake Farm

December 4, 2018 in Weddings

Taylor and Ryland’s Annapolis wedding day at Timberlake Farm was pure magic! We started at an Air BNB in Downtown Annapolis. I love it when my couples choose an Air BNB over a hotel because it makes the images feel warm and homey. Then we went to St. John’s college for their first look! Taylor and Ryland didn’t know if a first look was for them but decided to go for it! Taylor said, “The best decision I made was doing a first look. Ryland and I both were so torn about doing a first look. He specifically wanted to wait till I was walking down the isle to see me for the first time. However, we eventually decided to do a first look and it was exactly what we needed. It calmed both of our nerves and seeing him immediately made me feel at peace.” We then walked to State Circle in Downtown Annapolis to meet up with all of their best friends for portraits! We left Downtown Annapolis for Timberlake Farm in Davidsonville for the ceremony and dance party!

Charlotte Jarret Events not only planned the wedding she created the gorgeous earthy florals! Ryland is a pilot in the Air Force and their wedding was filled with airplane details. These two incorporated their love story into every aspect of their day! Curious how these two met!? Here is Taylor’s version of the story: “The story of how we met is truly pure fate. I was stationed in San Antonio, Texas for a brief training period for Air Force nursing and Ryland was stationed about 3 hours west in Del Rio, Texas for pilot training. I was at a country concert when this guy stopped me and randomly asked where I was from. I said Maryland as I was walking away and he shouted “I’m from Maryland too.” Well I guess that one line was good enough a pick up line for me. Of course I didn’t believe him, until I heard him say he was from basically the same small town I grew up in. So in the middle of Texas two people from the same hometown, who never met before, happen to bump into each other. People say it’s fate but I joke that Ryland knew me and stalked me (he hasn’t admitted to that yet). Then just 2 weeks after we met we went our separate ways. I left for California as Ryland stayed in Texas. We barley knew each other, I never thought we would begin a relationship. Ryland however was determined to make it work and within 2 weeks of me arriving to California, Ryland was on plane to see me. We struggled through long distance for 2 years. The distance felt like it would never end. Then strange serendipity happened again. Ryland was finishing up pilot training and the Air Force got to decide where he was stationed next and what plane he would fly. God clearly had a plan for us because Ryland was stationed at Travis Air Force Base flying C-17’s. Exactly where I was. It truly is unbelievable.”

How did Ryland Propose!?

“Ryland apparently had a whole elaborate plan to propose, he was planning to take me flying somewhere and ask me in the air. He had it all planned out until he realized my mom couldn’t be there. He changed all his plans last minute and decided to fly out when my Mom and Nana were visiting. I had no idea, I thought he was somewhere in Oklahoma for training. He popped the question while my mom, my Nana, and I were on a tour of Buena Vista Winery, the oldest winery in California. I was so surprised and shocked that I didn’t let him even ask me before I said yes. I was so incredibly happy that he made the effort to include my mom and my Nana in this special day. It was the best surprise of my life, thus far.” Here are some of my favorite frames from Taylor and Ryland’s Annapolis Wedding Story:
