Today I will be sharing my favorite photographs from Allison and Alex’s Brittland Manor wedding day! These two tied the knot at the lovely Brittland Manor Estates wedding venue! In addition, Alex and Allison have been together since their freshman year of college! How amazing is that?! I loved creating images with Allison and Alex throughout their wedding day because their love is so contagious.
In addition, Allison chose some of the best wedding vendors for her special day! Vintage Veils are a team of talented hair and makeup artists based in Annapolis, Maryland! Before she walked down the aisle, Alison and I made some gorgeous getting-ready bridal portraits. Additionally, Allison also had the amazing Steelcut Flower Co. craft her gorgeous bridal bouquet!
After that, Alex and Allison said “I do!” Above all, I love photographing couples as they read their vows! Additionally, Brittland Manor made a gorgeous backdrop for Alex and Allison’s ceremony space. Later in the day, we snuck back out for a few bridal party portraits and some intimate images of Alex and Allison. In summary, they ended the night with an epic dance party under the bistro lights!
I loved photographing Alex and Allison’s lovely wedding day. However, here is their story from Allison’s perspective:
“Alex and I met at Salisbury University 7 years ago during my freshman year at college! Alex was Meghan’s, my older sister, friend and she introduced us at my first college party hosted by Alex. We had an immediate connection and our relationship blossomed almost immediately! We both played on the Salisbury lacrosse teams, Alex goalie, and I played defense, and both are two time national champions!
Alex proposed to me on my family’s yearly vacation in St. John USVI. My family has a house there and it has always been and always will be my absolute favorite place on this earth. Having my entire family there and being in a place that I love and created so many memories made this proposal so incredibly special!! I was so shocked and did not see it coming at all! Alex did the proposal on the balcony of my parents house over looking the gorgeous Virgin Islands and I did not see it coming at all!!
Brittland manor could not have been a more perfect location for us to get married.
Being on the eastern shore and having all our closest friends and family there all weekend long reminded us of where and how we fell in love. The eastern shore is where it all started! Some of our favorite wedding weekend memories consisted of (I could come up with a list of about a thousand!!!!) our Friday night rehearsal crab feast, the epic dance party with our AMAZING GUESTS, seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle, my dads welcome speech, the best men and maid of honor speeches, and reading each other our vows. It was such an incredible weekend filled with so so so much love. We wish we could relive it everyday!!”
I loved capturing Alex and Allison’s wedding day as their Maryland Wedding Photographer and I am so excited to share these images!
