This month I captured Mt. Washington Mill Dye House wedding photos in Baltimore! Shakila, Chris and I were able to create the most dreamy bride and groom photos on their wedding day! I love photographing elopements like this one, because they give us so much time to create portraits. The Mt. Washington Mill Dye House is also one of my favorite wedding venues!
I can’t wait to share these Dye House wedding photos with you all today, but first, you have to hear Shakila and Chris’ story! I asked Shakila to send me their love story from her perspective. Here is what she said!
“Chris and I met in high school through a mutual friend. We stayed social media friends over the years until one random day in 2015 while updating his contacts Chris reached out to me. We hadn’t seen each other in about 6 years when we met up and and quickly bonded over our desire for adventure and travel. Our friendship grew very quickly but sadly I left for a year long mission trip abroad in 2017. What we thought would be the unfortunate end to such a great friendship blossomed, through bad WiFi chats and long emails, to something beautiful. We both knew, while miles apart, that we were meant for one another. Upon my return to the U.S. in 2018, we got engaged!
Chris proposed to me on my 25th birthday after lunch and a beautiful hike with our very energetic puppy. I was surprised and filled with many emotions.
Our wedding day turned out amazing. We choose Mt Washington Mill Dye House for its industrial, rustic chic vibes. When I walked in and saw the decor I was taken back because it was even better in person. Everything came together so perfectly from our food, decor to the music. It’s so hard to choose our favorite moment when we loved every minute of it. I will never forget dancing with my family and the smiles of joy and bliss upon our faces.”
