Margi and James’ natural Peabody Library wedding was the perfect way to end my 2019 season!! Their day started with Margi and her mom getting ready together at Hotel Revival and ended with a library reception filled with killer dance moves and tear-filled toasts. I feel like a super lucky duck because Margi and James invited me to capture such a unique day for them. My eyes got all glassy as I picked my favorites from their best day ever at one of the most EPIC wedding venues in Baltimore!
But before we get into my favorite images from this natural Peabody Library wedding, here is some of their story from Margi:
“My fiance, James, and I met in college at the University of Maryland, College Park. It’s probably not the most romantic place. We actually met on a Friday night at a local bar called Bentley’s almost 9.5 years ago. We are both SO excited to get married at the Peabody Library in Mt. Vernon. Our parents would love to say that we met at the library and not at a bar, but at least we’re getting married in one!
James proposed to me in late December 2017 in the courtyard of the Sagamore Pendry Hotel in Fells Point.
He had booked a large suite complete with flowers and a bottle of bourbon (our favorite drink) for a long weekend leading up to Christmas Eve. We were celebrating a work milestone, so I had no idea! After dinner, he suggested a walk through the courtyard, which lit up beautifully for the holidays, and proposed! I later found out that he had organized with the hotel to have the courtyard locked and shut off from the public so that we could have a wonderfully private moment together in a beautiful place – without spectators, or cameras, or even friends and family. It is one of my most special and intimate memories.
Connection is something that is really important to me, so being married to James is what I’m most excited for on our wedding day! Close second is being able to celebrate with my closest family and friends.”
These two are so RAD!
