Holy guacamole, you sure are in for a treat with this new blog post!
Today, I am sharing Kristen and Jake’s epic earthy wedding at Whitehall. Serving this couple as their Annapolis wedding photographer was truly an honor! I can’t wait to share all of the magic with you guys.
But first, here is their story:
Jake and Kristen first met during their college years. During college, Kristen played lacrosse at the University of Maryland. Jake’s brother, Quinn, also happened to play lacrosse at the University as well! However, Jake himself played lacrosse at Georgetown. Because of the short distance from Georgetown to Maryland, Jake would often visit his brother. After Jake had met Kristen, he invited her to his lacrosse team’s formal. As they say, the rest is history!
During a trip to Ireland, Jake proposed to Kristen. After being in Ireland for about an hour, the couple decided to take a walk on the beach. It was there on the beach that Jake chose to propose. Epic choice Jake!
This wedding day was filled with true community, family, and friendship.
I had a hard time keep myself together during Kristen’s first look with her Dad. Their relationship was key in telling this story. Jake and Kristen had 24 people in their bridal party, including the flower girls, which made for some crazy awesome portraits. It was wonderful to see their favorite folks rally around them to celebrate Jake and Kristen’s love story during their wedding day!
The Chesapeake Bay and historic Whitehall served as the perfect backdrop for their wedding story.
Their night ended with an insane dance party. They also served donuts during the reception. Someone even ripped their pants and wasn’t wearing underwear! Don’t worry, I did not include that below!
